Strategic partnership with UNICEF Ethiopia

Improving the success rate of borehole drilling

UNICEF (https://www.unicef.org/), Acacia Water and Aquacon (http://www.aquacon.info/) have a long standing relationship on mapping of deep ground water resources in Ethiopia. The work focuses on improving the success rate of borehole drilling.

Following the mapping of groundwater in Ethiopia, Groundwater Mapping 4 Climate Resilient WASH, Acacia Water and Aquacon have now entered into a strategic partnership with UNICEF to coordinate and supervise UNICEF’s drilling activities in Ethiopia.

The partnership is a logical continuation of the earlier work. Given the complexity of the hydrogeology on the one hand and the high demand of groundwater on the other hand, the partners are convinced that the developed methodology on mapping and supervision will turn out to be successful and benefit the people of Ethiopia. The continuous support of UNICEF is very much appreciated.
